Katie is a General Internist practicing in Vancouver. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and General Internal Medicine fellowship at the University of British Columbia; and her POCUS fellowship at the University of Western Ontario's acclaimed Critical Care Ultrasound program. She is a testamur of the NBE Critical Care Echocardiography examination. She currently practices inpatient General Internal Medicine at a large tertiary care teaching hospital, where she is heavily involved in POCUS education and leads the UBC GIM POCUS fellowship. Her ultrasound interests include advanced cardiac applications, solid organ doppler for the assessment of venous congestion, and complex volume status assessments. In her spare time, you can find her hiking in the mountains, playing beach volleyball, or chasing after her two young sons.
